I was setting out to make a painting about being sick and looking at my fan, but it evolved as I worked on it. One of the goals of this chapter is to let colors and form dictate painting momentum more than ideas. I’ll still make “Sick Fan”, but it will be a different iteration of this idea.

I am out of pencils this week, which feels crazy, but it is impeding my painting process. I’ve been working on the fungus boxes/cubist stovetop. Big puzzle, that. I am also out of glue. So…bad week to make art. Enjoy this post while I get my act together.
